For years, I worked as a social media strategist inside some of Alberta’s biggest advertising agencies, building campaigns for well-known brands and organizations.
And while I loved the fast-paced agency world, the projects that brought me the most joy were always the small ones.
The café owner making Instagram reels between shifts.

The non-profit team trying to do more with limited time and resources.
Those were the people I loved working with.
I care deeply about the people and communities that make this province what it is. The more I worked with local businesses and organizations, the more I realized how overwhelming social media has become for so many people.
Constant pressure to create content. Changing algorithms. Feeling like you have to be online 24/7 just to keep up.
I kept thinking: it shouldn’t have to feel this hard.
So, I created Yarrow Social to help Alberta-based small businesses and organizations approach social media with more confidence, clarity, and a little less stress.
